Verify email addresses from Claude with MCP

Integration AI assistants and agents

Connect Claude to the PricklyMails MCP server once, then ask it to verify an address or a whole list on the web, in the desktop app or in Claude Code.

No plugin to install: Claude connects to the PricklyMails MCP server, and verifies addresses when you ask for it in the conversation.

Verify for free

Step by step

Connect your assistant in four steps

  1. In PricklyMails

    Create an agent in PricklyMails

    1. In the dashboard, open Agents and click New agent.
    2. Give it a name, such as Claude, and tick under Scopes what it may do: verify one address, verify a list, read results, check your balance.
    3. Click Create agent.

    Note

The Free plan creates one agent, which verifies one address at a time and reads results; every paid plan can grant an agent any scope.

  2. In Claude

Add PricklyMails as a connector in Claude

Claude reaches the server from Anthropic's cloud, so the connector you add once also works in the desktop and mobile apps.

    1. Open Customize then Connectors.
    2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
    3. Enter PricklyMails as the name and https://mcp.pricklymails.com/mcp as the URL, then click Continue.
    4. Under Authentication, choose Sign in now.
    5. Under OAuth client, choose Register automatically.
    6. Click Add.
    Add PricklyMails to Claude

    Note

The layout of the dialog varies by organization: on a single screen, the same choices sit under Advanced settings.

    Tip

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once for everyone, from Organization settings then Connectors: Add, then Custom, then Web. Members then click Connect next to it in Customize then Connectors.

  3. In PricklyMails

    Approve the agent in PricklyMails

    1. When Claude opens PricklyMails in your browser, sign in to your account.
    2. Under Choose which agent to authorize, pick the agent you created.
    3. Click Authorize.

    Tip

No key is pasted anywhere: the agent is what grants access, and revoking it from Agents cuts it off at once.

  4. In Claude

    Ask Claude to verify addresses

    1. In a chat, click + at the lower left of the message box, open Connectors, and turn on PricklyMails.
    2. When Claude asks to use a PricklyMails tool, click Allow once or Always allow.

Then ask in plain words, for instance:

    • Verify jane.doe@acme.com before I reply to her.
    • Here are the 40 addresses from my event signup sheet: verify them and tell me which ones to remove.
    • How many PricklyMails tokens do I have left this month?

    Tip

To set each tool once and for all, open the connector in Customize then Connectors: under Tool permissions, each tool can be Always allow, Needs approval or Blocked.

What it can do

Within the scopes of its agent, Claude can verify one address or a whole list, read the results and their reasons, check your balance and usage, and manage your API keys and webhooks. Each call is billed like the same request through the API.

Does PricklyMails see my conversations with Claude?

No. Claude sends PricklyMails only what a tool call needs, such as the address to verify, and the address is never stored: our servers keep a one-way fingerprint of it.
